Hi
I am researching Eliza Chambers who married James Dorman and she was from Limestone. But this was a shortened name that locals called Limestone Plains, which is where Canberra is now. Eliza Chambers was part aboriginal and could have lived closer to Canberry, a property owned by Joshua Moore. We believe he had a convict called William Chambers there for a time and that Eliza was the daughter of William Chambers.
William came to Australia in 1821 on the Dick and worked on the NSW roads as well as a herder for Joshua Moore. Not sure of the mother's name. Hope this fits with your gathered information. We have some paperwork.
