Kevin, I'm fairly confident there was one Hyderabad. It carried convicts before and after my relatives came out in '48. I have come across church records - like baptisms ,weddings from a Catholic church in Glenflesk, Co Kerry and there are many McG's and connections. Have a look at records from Kerry. I know there were several + McG families and all were large families. Check Convict records NSW @ New South Wales Gov.au) and Tasmanian Convict records. I also see that the Hyderabad took convicts to Norfolk Island. Try also Genforum Genealogy and Ancestry.com. But Ireland -yes.
