On the marriage certificate of Elizabeth Salter to Henry Pettit Taite, birth dates are not recorded, but her number is given as 262, and his as 3947, were they recorded with numbers as they arrived in VDL. Also a witness was James Salter of New Norfolk, could it be that her child was transported with her?
A James Salter of New Norfolk is recorded as being born in 1815 on his marriage certificate. He had a number of children, so some descendants may still be around the New Norfolk area. Any ideas of how I could follow up on them?
