There is no $50 cancellation fee policy. There was ONE user who reportedly was charged that amount, after using her account for a short period of time. In all likelihood, $50 was an amount commensurate with the time she used the account. Ancestry is smart enough to not let users subscribe, rape & pillage the databases and then walk away cost-free.
