You should definitely request your "non-identifying information" from both the county and Catholic Charities. This info will help you a lot in your search. Adoptions are typically finalized in the same county where the adoptive parents lived, so if that was Pierce County, then you can get this info from them.

There is a great Yahoo group that helps with WA adoption searches that you might want to check out. All the help is free and you just need a Yahoo email addy. Go to Yahoo Groups and search for "Northwest Adoption Search and Reunion" and you should find it.
