Thanks so much for your response. That's a remarkable story about your husband's birth mother! My dad was also never formally adopted by his dad that he grew up with...I guess in the 40s, that wasn't very important. My grandma did give an address that she was living at during the time of my dad's birth, but it's an address that I've been told doesn't exist.
You know, I'm not sure it's true, but I originally thought that Bronson Memorial Hospital was also where McLendon Hardware is located on Rainier Ave in Renton. However, I do believe the actual location was more in the old downtown Renton. There's a plaque in the sidewalk commemorating Dr. Bronson's hospital.
