No father's name is given. Martha Ann (Brocklehurst) Koyle/Coyle from my family, gave birth to twins Luceine and Berthenia on Christmas Eve in 1906. (newspaper article) These would have been the illegitimate children with Timothy E Desmond. Martha's maternal relative was Sheriff Whitehead who tried to prosecute Tim for adultery, abuse, etc. Sheriff Whitehead died soon after Tim escaped from jail. Gus Henriod/Henrod succeeded as Sheriff. It makes sense to me that the two sheriffs knew each other and maybe Henriod/Henrod family adopted them? Martha and Tim were never heard from again and Martha's other children ended up with relatives and in orphanages. I've been searching for records on these twins or what may have happened to Martha next. I have extensive research to share with the descendants of these twins.
