The Texas birth index shows John Linton Glenn was born in Ector, Texas...which is in Fannin County...nothing to do with Midland. His original birth certificate has been suppressed and replaced by the secondary/adopted birth certificate.

I can't see the birth certificate you attached and can't compare the place of birth, but if it is different than the above that would be interesting and a good clue.
