I have heard of other similar situations where the unwed teenage mother would be sent out of town, or even out of state, until after she gave birth, then return home as if nothing happened.

I also have information that says the adoption records can be "unsealed" through a court order from the same county where the adoption took place. Do you know how one would go about obtaining that?

I have also had difficulty finding any information at all on The Gulf Coast Child Placing Bureau. It's almost as if it never existed.

There are many similarities with the infant of Mattie Lee Hood. That is the biggest lead I've gotten thus far. Once again, I thank you for putting time and effort into helping with my search. I pray that the Lord will richly bless you and yours.
