I had another idea. If you know the date Tabitha Logston died (or sorta close to it) then you should be able to contact the Coroner's office (they call is the Medical Examiner's Ofc there) for information on her. They are obligated by law to check into all unnatural deaths. Right now it shows Tarrant County handles all their deaths but I'm sure that back in the day they did their own. I've looked at Coroner's records in other places for this period and they are beyond interesting. Pilot Point is too small to have ever had its own.

You should contact the current Med Ex ofc in Denton and get the scoop on how to proceed. Just call them and have a nice chat with someone. I know for sure you're not going to get anywhere without contacting local libraries and such in Denton/Pilot Point.
