You need to contact the place where you were adopted. Like the Dept. of Family Services etc. Get a copy of the unidentifying information sheet. Then you need to petition the courts to open your records. (They opened mine, Reno). You will have to call the court house in which you were adopted and mail them like $5 to get the petition. Fill it out, make copies for yourself, mail back. Keep in contact with them so it doesn't get lost.
When/If they grant your petition, they will have someone from a research co./investigator go through the adoption file and copy what you need. You will have to specify what you want out of there on your petition.
