Thank you for the surggestion. I had tried that first but, am not sure as to what town she was born. She claimed Woodstock, NH as her birth place. Both the town clerk and myself searched to no avail. We found nothing. I also search other towns in the area and found nothing. I also search the archives in Concord, NH and found nothing on her birth. There is an adoption record giving her name as Merrill prior to the adoption but, does not list the name of her biological parents only her adoption parents...which I already knew.
Basically, I have given up as the court will not allow the records open in Haverhill, NH without a hearing. Then there is no garentee that they will allow me to open the records. A trip that far north is not worth in at this time. I do not have a job now and no way to get there. Perhaps I will try again at a later date when I am in better financial condition.
