I'm looking for adoption and court records in Montana from the late 19teens to 1920's. It is regarding the Polivany family. I know Mike the father was in prison in 1920 but would like to find out why and when he was placed there. His wife Mary Boyko cared for their 6 kids and later fled(as the story goes) leaving some or all to be taken by the state and out into an orphanage. Their names were Tannie, Agnes, Frank, William, George, Sophie. I found that Frank and Sophie were adopted by the same family and found William and George as well. I cannot find a trace of mother Mary or Tannie and Agnes. Any hints as to where to look. I have all the birth years as well, the majority I haven't been able to verify though.
