Hi, Addie-- so sorry that i haven't replied to ur answer of aug.6 at 12:35 P.M.The last month and now aug. have been especially hard for me. I lost a dear sister-in-law to cancer the last of July, then a 46yr.old nephew to a sudden heart attack two weeks ago , then the 52yr.old son of a good friend here in Missouridied of an inoperable brain tumor diagnosed 8mos. ago and now I have just found out that my best friend has an inoperable tumor and will have to have radiation. Don't know yet if it is malignant. so, you c , so far, it's been really hard for me recently.I haven't seen about the birth certificate yet. I will be going back home next weekend(Labor Day weekend) to Meridian,Ms. and am going to wait.As far as the D L and Soc. Sec. , I told them when i applied that i had been adopted and the date of my birth, etc. Had no problem.I tried calling the Children's home in Jackson, but they would not return my call.My car is in such bad shape that I can't go very far in itso I haven't been able to go to Jackson or anywhere else, for that matter. I can go around town and in the county ,but that's it.I realize that my birth parents and possible other family members have passed on but I would really like to find out if I may have any cousins. I would love to see pix of parents, family membersto see who my family and I look like and ask where I got my musical talent,etc. and maybe, just maybe, find out why I never heard from my birth parents again, why they didn't try to find me after I grew up, why I was put up for adoption.
