Thanks so much for reply!!
The 1910 Texas census is the correct family. Since posting message in August, I have learned:
*Only four of the five children went to the orphanage run by Mrs. Green (Oldest child, Edward A "Eddie", not at home)
* Ruth's mother, Nettie(Webb)Thomas, died between 1913-1915.
* Ruth's father, conflicting stories, may or may not have died
* Ruth's older sister and younger brother, Blanche and Raymond, were adopted by a Reverend in Macon, MS
* May(Mae),the baby, last to be adopted, 1922.

I had found:
1880 MO census
Henry Scott Webb, b1876, with a sister Nettie M, Webb, b 1880

1900 MO census
Edgar, Nettie and child Thomas A. Thomas, b1900
I think child's name is a mistake, census worker's ditto marks in wrong place. Plus, a Scott Webb with wife Venus on the same page

The 1910 Jasper, Texas Census
The family except youngest child May (Mae)born 1913 plus the Benjamin Webb, b 1882 MO, brother-in-law, occupations sawmill

1920 Bowie, Texas Census
Eddie A Thomas, JR., Grace Thomas, wife, Eddie A. Thomas, SR widowed, occupations sawmill---a Scott Webb and daughter Bessie Webb on the same page (Venis died 1907)

1930 Union, AR Census,
Edward A Thomas, JR., Grace Thomas, wife, Grace V Thomas, daughter,b 1921 TX, Edward A Thomas, SR widowed,
occupations sawmill
Birth places, occupations are consistent, birth dates w/i two year range.

Now,I am at that brick wall. Not sure of above info and can't seem to move forward. Thanks so much for your info.
