I realize this is a very old posting--
Am interested in what you know about Cora and Thomas--
My grandmother's name is also Helen Marie Des Rochers--
I have birth certificates that verify she is the daughter of Thomas Des Rochers and Cora Gendreaux-- they also had 4 other children that we know of-- Lillian Des Rochers, Thomas Des Rochers, Corrine Desrochers & Florance Des Rochers. All I know is that both parents died of pnemonia and the children were raised in a Catholic school. At about the age of 15 my grandmother was sent to live with a family that put her to work at a candy factory so she could earn them extra money. When Lillian came of age, she brought her siblings --including my grandmother to live with her and essentially finished raising them-- they were in Minnesota by that time-- I think the catholic school was in NY somewhere-- but I remember my mother saying grandma was born in Canada.

We have no information and have been unable to find anything even in Catholic church records-- Anything information you might have would be greatly appreciated as I have seen absolutely no postings or found any information on them--
