Thank you for your help. I am new to all of this and so far not very good at it. I noticed on the 1920 census for my grandfather Martin N Wilde that he and his wife Pearl had asone listed as Martin N Jr 1/12 in Jan of 1920. That sounds like my dad. I'm wondering if he was Martins biological son afterall. Divorce papers listed a sister (daughter of Pearl) named Frances. My dad did say that he remembers seeing adoption papers at one time.
