The above is the only one I've found where the wife is Mary.
Have you contacted Ft Leavenworth to see if there is any research that can be done to find out deaths while stationed there?

I believe the child was listed as 1 month old(see my previous message) in the 1920 census. Maybe a local genealogist in Leavenworth county could look thru the newspapers for you to see if there was any notice in the paper of the deaths or look for the death records and/or birth record for the child especially since you have a specific birth date.
