Hello, I ran across this post tonight when I was tracking some friends I made when working at Bitburg Air Base in Germany in the 1970s. I knew your dad. We connected initially around both of us being adopted, and a bond of a sort developed that I treasured. I'll never forget a fantastic trip we took together with a group from Bitburg to England for a football game with another US air base. Brent and I stayed in London for some sightseeing.
He left Germany before I did, and I never saw him again, but he'd call me occasionally, especially after I moved to the Seattle area. He held a special place in my heart.
Someone, maybe you, called me when he died and I missed that call. My kid who took the call said someone was letting me know a friend had died but he couldn't remember the name. Intuitively, I knew it was Brent, and I cried for his loss.
Anyway, I'm writing because I wondered if you knew about the Facebook group that helps adoptees and family members connect. Although they are based in Canada, there are many "search angels" in the US in the group. Check Adoption Search Registry at

All the best you,
