I am an adoptee and my amended birth certificate says I was born August 21, 1968 in Jacksonville Beach FL but adopted in Brooklyn NY at 4 months but I have a picture with my adopted family at 2 weeks. I have very little non-identifying information no hospital or Dr info and it was a private adoption. Someone just told me about a Dr. Cohen (Cone) who had a home for unwed mothers in Jacksonville Beach FL in the 60's. Do you know anything about him? I have a strong feeling it was an illegal adoption because of the response from the lawyer who handled my adoption and my family.
