Do the DNA samples.... I'd suggest doing all 3 of the major ones and then register with GEDMatch. I'm waiting for confirmation but I think I just found my paternal side. One of his sons is sending in his DNA but from my DNA results, it appears that we were definitely related somehow. As you see the closest matches, you can investigate from there.
