Hi! not sure if you have found any resolution. My mother was adopted in Cornwall, ON, about 1 hour outside of Montreal. She was placed for adoption by Stormount Children's Aid Society. You can contact the Custodian of Adoption Information in Ontario to enquire if there was a child with the correct surname adopted around that time with your mother as the mother. I am seeking any family that might be connected to my mother. My mother's birth mother is of Irish descent and worked as a clerk. I don't know anything else....If you haven't found resolution I hope you will contact the MInistry to see if you have a sibling somewhere.
