Hi, Debbie...I'm not adopted, and (kindly spoken here...) I'm not sure of what your point is, exactly...but I'd like to point out one merit of following your suggestion: in my family, we are searching for a pair of twins that were adopted by others back in the late 1930s or early 1940s. Their birth names were Jerry and Judy Hemming. They were born in Carthage, Hancock County, Ilinois on November 10, 1938. Their birth father and mother were both rascals, now both deceased...and I'm sure that the twins were better off with their adoptive families...but the rest of us would sure like to know what has become of them.
We "think" that it is possible that they were both adopted by a family in the Kansas City area, possibly by a doctor and his wife...we have our reasons to suspect this to be true but have no way to confirm it.
If they know that their birth name is Hemming, and they were to post that information somewhere, wouldn't it be lovely?
