I am descended from the Bendigo Abbertons who came from Ballynakill, Galway. Do you know if Mary's family came from there as well? (Just about every branch in the world seems to go back to that small area of Ireland.) I've just started a facebook group called "Abbertons Who Came From Galway" as a place where those of us from the different branches of what I can only imagine is the same tree, can swap information and hopefully find that elusive link that connects us all. It's a public group at the moment but I'll change it to closed as it gets going. It'd be great to see people from each branch joining the discussion.
