This sounds simmilar to my question, I am not sure how to record on my tree. My Great-Grandmother and her two sisters were adopted by their Uncle from their Father after their Mother died. I have found it hard to attach record to my Great-Grandma and her sisters.

Also I don't know what the alternate-preferred choice is, could you explain?
