I am looking for anyone who may have served with my father during WWII. His Name was Norman (Buddy) Deckrosh, he was from Ohio and he served as an Armed Guard aboard the following vessels;
S.S. Booker T Washington – 18 September 1943 – 21 March 1944 and is listed on the Armed Guard crew listing dated 10 March 1944.
S.S. Mormacmar – 9 April 1944 – 31 January 1945 and is on the List of Manifest of Aliens Employed on the Vessel as Members of the Crew – U.S. Navy Armed Guard.
I know it’s a long shot, but any information would be helpful in painting a picture of his life. Dad died in 1991 and there are no relatives alive during that time period to ask.
