Im looking for any information on the 326th Quarry co RE. My Gt Grandfather Albert Proctor was transferred to them from the RFA on the 22nd Feb 1917 and embarked with the BEF on the 22nd May 1917. He was a quarryman/ railway plate layer pre war so it seemed a natural transition. Anyone know of the 326th movements in May 17. Ive read somewhere that they were tasked with road repair from Calais but not 100%. Any info or pointer would be great.
