Legend has it that my great-grandfather died in a military hospital in Sittingbourne after WW1 as a result of shell shock, yet I can find no death certificate for him. It was brought to my attention yesterday that my great-grandmother never received a pension from the army so I'm now thinking that something is not quite right with this story. Has anyone got any ideas how I can get to the bottom of this. I have his medal card...
