hi, i am so sorry, i was looking at the wrong location for him...
he was born in north carolina, 1811-1863
died in a union cw prison, in choate, OH
he lived in virginia, the part now known as west virginia. his remains not identified/found as there was typhoid fever, many other diseases, starvation,etc., bodies were taken out daily and mass buried.
i have not found him in north carolina. i have not found him in any civil war records. i have not found him in any virginia/west virginia records...yet. i am trying to find new places to look, for him. i don't know his regiment.
his wife/widow is mary Elizabeth 'Polly" Parsons, born NC, 1813-1880.
