If you didn't see my last post, you might want to do that. My order was sent in today for the records (state level). I have no idea how long it will take for me to get them, but I will let you know (on this thread) what I actually get out of it.

On a side note, probably 6 or 8 years ago, I ordered my father's military files (WWI) from NARA. If I remember correctly, there was no charge at that time. I knew many of the files had been destroyed by fire, but I gave it a shot. It was well worth waiting for (probably close to a year). A large manila envelope came with about 70 or 80 pages! Some were duplicates, but there was a ton of information in there. Many of the pages had been partially burned, and that was evident on the copies. They even sent replicas of the medals he received!! What a surprise that was.
