I purchased the subject undated studio portrait of 12 men, 8 women, 6 boys, and 6 girls taken by the Art Studio, Burlington, IA (during a family reunion?). There is a small inset photo of a young couple (included in the above head count) inset into the upper left corner of the larger photo. The photo, taken in front of a house, bears the following identifications on the back of the mount in period ink handwriting:

I found many of these individuals in U.S. Census records and Public Member Trees posted on ancestry.com, as summarized below.

John Frederick "Fred" Dustman (1851-1932), son of John Henry Dustman (1816-1897) and Anna Marie Bosckstiegel (1813-1897), married Fredericka "Ricka/Reke/Reake/Ricka" Meyers (1848-1929), daughter of John Frederick Meyers (1816-) and Mary Lowks (1826-), and they had 5 children, including: Matilda Pauline Dustman (1877-), Lewis/Louis H. Dustman (1879-), Edward Henry Dustman (1880-1975), and Daniel Henry Dustman (1888-1982). Matilda Pauline married William C. Pogemiller.

William Edward Zeller (1830-1908) married Marie Johanette Elizabeth Krakel (1843-1903) and they had 10 children: Henry William Zeller (1859-1932), Louise Zeller (1862-1931), Anna Zeller (1866-), Amelia Zeller (1870-), Caroline Zeller (1873-1925), Therese Zeller (1875-), Christian Zeller (1877-1916), Matilda "Tillie" L. Zeller (1881-), Augustus C. Zeller (1884-1962), and Edward Zeller (1886-1956).

Frank Henry Meyer (1860-) married Anna Zeller (1866-) and they had 5 children: Charles Julius Meyer (1890-), Arthur H. Meyer (1892-), Naomi E. Meyer (1894-1988), Fred L. Meyer (1897-), and William R. Meyer (1906-).

Charles Frederick Meyer (1864) married Tillie Sabens (1868-) and they had 4 children, including: Grace Meyer (1893-), Margaret Meyer (1895-), and Warren Meyer (1897-).
