I am looking for information about my great grandfather and his family.
Ethelred Jones Wolstenholme born in salford in 1872 died in new Zealand. He shows in 1881 census but cant find anything after that. His marriage cert in NZ shows his father as John Charles Wolstenholme ( occupation Medical Practitioner) and mother as Emma Jones however census in 1881 shows John as a chemist assistant. I can find Emma Jones in earlier census with a father who was a chemist but nothing further and weould appreciate any information. The family story is that Ethelred was a remittance man, sent to NZ by his family who were well to do and that the family sent people out to get him to return twice but he would not.
