I think there must be a connection with the Lapeer co but haven't found it yet. I know there was an Abner and a John up there. Also, a William Riley that was a few years older than the William Riley that was my ggrandfather. I agree more research is due there. I have not been able to find where my ggggrandparents are buried in MI. Perhaps should be looking in to that county as I know there was a least one John died there. Who were Phillip's parents? Where were they in NY before they went to MI?
