Recent study would indicate that Esther & brother James living with Thomas & Ellen in Stanhope street in 1841 census ,but recently found marriage certificate for James married in 1844 to Eleanor Hammond from same address shows father as John(labourer)?possibly brother of Thomas.as of yet can not firmly fix Ellen maiden name.Pallots index Slater or Sherburn,but chk on siblings from both marriages shows no children either esther or james
