In 1881, William and Hannah are found in Blissville, Sunbury Co., NB. William is a farmer, and all are Free Christian Baptists, except their youngest child, Hartley, who, at the age of 2 months, decided to be Methodist. With them was a widow, Eliza Wallace (b. ca. 1807), presumably William’s mother. William may be the William Wallace who d. York Co., NB 18FEB1931. Hannah would be the Hannah Wallace who d. York Co., NB 16AUG1923.

(Elizabeth Secord was the daughter of William Henry and Ruth (Hunt) Secord; and, therefore, the sister of Sarah Secord who m. Jacob Flewelling, s/o Thomas Flewelling of Oak Point.) He appears in the 1851 census of Greenwich Parish, Kings Co., NB.

While his name might be indicative of his supposed paternal grandfather, John Flewelling of Newburgh; it is more likely that it suggests his maternal grandfather, John Flewelling, Jr., s/o John of Newburgh.
