My husband is a descendant of Thomas D. (Dyer) Vickery who was "of London" and had moved to Canada before September 26, 1860, on which date he married Mary Ellen Gardner Kenney in St. John, New Brunswick. They had 4 children, 3 oldest having been born in Nova Scotia: Clara F. Vickery born February 16, 1863, Ernest F. Vickery born August 1865, Herbert Lionel Vickery born October 1869 and May, or Mary, who died in 1873. My husband is a descendant of Clara F. Vickery, who married Fredrick William Israel and eventually lived in the States. He is very interested in tracing his Vickery line (and the Israel one as well.) Thomas Vickery was either employed by, or a partner in the firm of Lindsay and Vickery. We have no information about him before he came to Canada, and would be very interested in that, as well.
