My husband's family came to Dufferin County, Ontario in 1847. He is a descendant of Matthew Varey b1821 in Yorkshire England. There was also a Bryan Varey in Peel County Ontario.

I also have heard a four brother Varey story. Ours says that 3 stayed in Ontario and 1 went out west. I am unsure which generation this applies to but Matthew's son John Varey went to Saskatchewan after the 1901 census.
