It's really hard to find your living relatives!! My line of Vances descended from David Graham Vance 1812-1864. I've never had contact with any of my Vance relatives because there have been so few men - we seem to produce lots of daughters!

We (my cousins and I) are willing to pay for DNA testing - preferably from the closest line (David Graham) but if not, then any male Vance descendant of WMV will have to do.

The Vance genealogy project has not yet had anyone of our lineage tested - time to get started!
