POLAND – A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, for Robert M. “Bob” Tych, 72, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on June 3, 2015.

Bob was born June 11, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) a son of John and Helen Dudash Tych.
He was a 1961 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School.
He worked for LTV Steel from 1964 until he retired in 2002, after 38 years of service.

Bob was a part of the Sokols Assembly 26 and the Slovak Catholic Union.
Bob’s passion in life was playing the accordion.
He truly enjoyed entertaining his family and friends with a song, and would often play at social gatherings at Sunrise Assisted Living, where he resided.

Bob leaves to cherish his memory, his siblings, John (Sandra) Tych of Cincinnati, Elaine (Nicholas) Mamrich of Austintown, Ohio and Donald (Linda) Tych of Boardman, OH; as well as eight nieces and nephews; and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Tych family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home, where they will receive family and friends on Friday, June 5, 2015, from 5 to 8 p.m., and again, one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of both Sunrise Assisted Living and the Hospice House for their compassionate care of Bob in his time of need.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material contributions be made to the Hospice House, Poland, Ohio in Bob’s memory.
