Hi to all Tvrdik's
Didn't know this site was out there and now I'm interested.
Sure a lot of us and I find it hard not to believe we are all related. Been traveling around the USofA and found the name all over the place. Spent 30 years in the USAF and met quite a few Tvrdik's along the way. Met some who were not too interested but passed them by. Was wondering how the Tvrdik's got out to the hinterlands and was searching thru "Orphan Trains" but found none listed. Our family was raised in New York out on Long Island. Now most are living elsewhere. I am presently snowbirding in Florida and there are quite a few of Tvrdiks here but they are from my family group. In the summer I live in the Columbus, Ohio area and know there are a bunch of Tvrdik's in the Cleveland area. My brother's wife used to correspond with a Tvrdik in Australia. Met Tvrdik's in San Marcos, Tx and some from Houston, Tx.
Any of you want to continue the dialog back and forth please drop me a line. Maybe we all will learn a lot about the name and even get together a time or two.....Sylvester "Joe" Tvrdik

I know this email is a few years old - but didn't know if Joe was still interested in finding other Tvrdiks. I was a Tvrdik before I got married and my family was also from Long Island, which leads me to believe we are related! Joe - if you're still out there and still interested - I'd love to chat.

Tvrdik of Long Island, I too have tried to contact Joe - did you ever get any response? I am trying to track down any one related to Antonia Tvrdik or her father Anton, originally of Bohemia. I have some info to exchange if so.

Hello, my grandfather was born Joseph Wenceslaus Tvrdik. He was adopted by his Uncle Dvorak when his parents died in the early 1930's...I think...
I would love to hear any Tvrdik history from the Chicago, IL. area.

Thank you, Joe Dvorak / Tvrdik .. sort of???
