Hi Garth,
I know you wrote this some time ago but while doing some research this post came up so I thought I would respond.
I am not 100% sure on this - I have been trying to find the same information though. I did find on the 1850 Census - Martha P. Truesdell had a son Jeremiah - she was born in New York, as was Jeremiah Sidney Turesdell, MD. On this census, it put Jeremiah as born about 1836, which is also the date I have for his birth so I "THINK" Martha P. may be the mother of the Jeremiah we are looking for.
According to Find.A.Grave.com - she was the "Wife of Beebe Truesdell" so I think he may be our Jeremiah Sidney's father. But I have not confirmed this through any records.
It is interesting to note that Jeremiah Sidney Truesdell is my great-great-great grandfather and my grandmother remembers stories about him (basically that he was a "yankee" that was a doctor that moved down south after the war and married a southern girl and moved to AL) - what I find interesting is that I have a cousin also named "Beebe" - so it makes me wonder even more if Beebe Truesdell is the father of Jeremiah Sidney Truesdell.
I really would like some HARD evidence that Marth P and Beebe are Jeremiah's parents - I'm still researching and if I come up with anything, I will share it with you.
