Harvey Tingler and Malissa Bailes are my ggreat-grandparents. Their son John Tingler married Texy Lee Simmons married and had 10 children, one of which is my grandmother Mattie Pearl Tingler Fisher. Grandma Fisher is now 90 years old and still living. Harvey was first married to Sarah Elizabeth Burgoyne by marriage bond in Pendleton County, Va. They had 2 daughters, Mary Catherine whom married Thomas C. Friend and Felicia Jane. Sarah died from childbirth 5 days after the birth of Felicia. He married Malissa and they had Ursula, Sarah Elizabeth whom married Joseph Tinnel, Theodosia whom married (?) Amey, John whom married Texy Lee Simmons, Ancil Ashby whom married Lillie B. Pierson, Rebecca Blanche whom married Noah Patterson Smith (1st); Peter C. Tinney (2nd); and Grover Cleveland (Cleve) Barnett (3rd), Phoebe Estaline whom married Peter C. Tinney (yes, the same one that was married to Rebecca Blanche but Phoebe was his 1st wife), Analiza whom died at the age of 8 years,(?) whom married Ancil Davis Tinney. There are others but I don't have my information with me today. This is my sister's computer and I didn't bring my notes. I have dates and the rest of the children's names which I will submit at a later date. I think Harvey and Malissa had a total of 13 children and only 2 were sons which are listed above. Harvey's parents were Elias and Faliska (Felicia) Jane Lawrence. Harvey is their eldest son. Harvey was born in May 1830 and died in 1911? The death date I have not been able to verify but grandma told me that she was 2 when he died. Malissa died in 1897. Both are buried in the Tingler Family Cemetary on the old homeplace in Polemic (Braxton County), WV. Also buried there is John and Texy Tingler, their oldest child Lillie Grace whom died as a small child, James Joseph Fisher whom died as a small child and is my grandparent's son, and a Canfield (relation to Ruby Revie Canfield Tingler whom was married to my grandmother's brother Argil. Even where I have question marks listed in this message, I have the names listed at home. I will submit more info later. I hope that this helps some. Good hunting for your ancestors.
