Daniel Sullivan m Mary Shea. They lived at Reenanallagane, Glenbeigh where their children were born.
One son James b 1858 left Ireland before 1884 and settled in Hartford, Connecticut. Me married Bridget Moriarty, daughter of James Moriarty and Mary Cronin.
Another son John born about 1864 also settled in Hartford. He married Ellen Moriarty daughter of James Moriarty and Mary Cronin.
A daughter Margaret born about 1864 also came to Hartford where she married Timothy Daniel Sullivan son of Daniel Sullivan and Mary Kelliher. This family eventually settled in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
Daniel Sullivan and Mary Shea had 4 more sons, two were Michael and Daniel. There was at least one other daughter Mary. Michael, Daniel and Mary were supposedly still living at the death of James in 1907.
The family is said to be from Reenanallagane in Glenbeigh. There were no civil birth records registered for the children. There were no baptism records for the family found in Glenbeigh. The neighboring parish of Killorglin might have been where the family worshiped and the those records do not survive for that period.
There is record of a Daniel Sullivan marrying a Mary Shea in 1832. Several children were baptised in Killorglin and Glenbeigh, although the family was not at Reenanallagane for any of these events. The last child in the record was a Timothy baptiszed in 1850.
Is this the same family?
What happened to the siblings who stayed in Ireland?
I'd like to hear from anyone with information on this family.
