I am not sure. No one has been able to find out anything on Jim Taylor. I know that Adeline B "Daught" Steele was born in Florida abt 1856 or 58. Her mother was the daughter of Peter Henry Steele and Elizabeth Dannelly. There is alot of info on her ancestry but nothing on her husband Jim Taylor. In an old census record her son Herbert lists his fathers birth place as Alabama. It is family lore that Jim Taylor left his family for some time and moved to Texas and had a whole other family there before he came back to possibly the Laurel Hill Florida area or the Florala, Alabama area. It is also family lore that Jim had some Indian blood??????
We haven't been able to find info on where Jim Taylor's family was from or who they even were. My grandfather Vernon O Taylor, who was his son looked very much like he had Indian blood.
