You do know that there was a hotel in Rocky Mountain National Park called Stead Ranch run by a J(ames) D. Stead and his wife (Eu)Dora. They came from Illinois in the early 1900's. However, according to the 1910 US census, they never had children.

I have a book entitled "Steads Ranch and Hotel: Echoes within the Moraines". It contains a chapter on them and their tenure at the ranch. Let me know if you're interested.
