The name of the Stanton I have from New York is Daniel B. Stanton, born in 1826 in NY State. I do not know his parents names. In 1850 he married Mary Ann Kay. This marrage is recorded in Delaware, Ohio. He had two sons, Charles B. and John Francis. I do not know what name the B. stands for. He located in north western Ohio and died there. This suggests to me that he was from the northeastern part of the U.S. and not the mid-Atlantic or southern Stanton families. I would appreciate the Syracuse Newspaper address that you mentioned.
