The funeral of James M Sparkman took place at 10 o'clock yesterday morning from the residence at Duval Station (Jacksonville) and was largely attended. Mr Sparkman was a native of Duval County and had spent his life here. He leaves a wife and one child. Clark and Burns funeral directors had charge of the interment.

Maybe he was James M Sparkman who the 22yo servant, a day laborer in the Gillespie household. He had worked 10 of the last 12 months, and he and his parents were b in Florida. His birthdate was Jan 1878. From the 1880 census, his parents were J. and Caroline Sparkman as noted in the 1880 census.
