My husband's grandmother was originally a Schneider (Katharina or Katie) from HOPKINSVILLE, OH. She was born in 1874 and came to the US in 1881 with her father, mother and 3 brothers (John, Balbena and William, Adolph and John). About 1910 the Schneiders changed their name to Snider.In 1904 Katie Schneider married George E Nunner II. The family ran a grocery store on the corner of Rt 48 and Rts 3 & 22 in Hopkinsville. OH, next door to the Schneider/Snider home. William had two children: a son Vernon and a daughter Valerie. George E Nunner II had a sister by the name of Dora Nunner who married a Carpenter Snider. Dora had a daughter by the name of Geneva Snider. Are any of these names familiar to you? If so, I would be very happy to exchange information with you.
