Hi Lionel

Will you please see if you can help me to link the following Slabbert family.

My great grandfather's name was John Louis, he served as a Wagon Conductor at Cradock with 41B Corps A.S.C in 1900 and later apparently was a chef on a British ship. I have no idea what his wife's name was (there is a story that her surname might have been Bernard) they had three children, Martin Bernard abt. 1902, John Raymond born in Uitenhage 20/11/1905 - 3/11/1964 and Louise abt. 1920.

My grandfather, John Raymond, was one of the first intake members on the General Botha (previously The Thames) and graduated in 1923. He married Hildred Lotter born in Pearston 14/5/1909 - 14/8/1993. They had three children, Suzanne Marie born in Cape Town 31/8/1932 - 8/8/1999, John Leslie Raymond born in Somerset East 22/6/1934 - 2/2/2007, and my mother Freda Carol born in Port Elizabeth 28/6/1936. The family moved to Northern Rhodesia in about 1939 and lost contact with their family in South Africa which is why we have no further details. I would sincerely appreciate any links you may know of. I have all the details of John Raymond's descendants and would be happy to share this with you once we have made the link.

Thank You,

Regards

Colleen.
