Andrew Jackson Shipp or Dr AJ Shipp lived in Chicago during the mid and late 1870s, unlicensed but called himself a physician, sold cures for venereal diseases. The IL Health Board was establishing a case against him when he disappeared from records about 1880. He was probably born around 1840 give or take 15 years.

I think he married Elizabeth Susan England Yowell (1847-1928) in 1873 just a few short months after her first husband died in Menard Co IL. Elizabeth had previously been married to William C. Yowell and married a Goodrich/ Goodridge after Shipp before she died in Salt Lake City.
